covid wedding policies

We wanted to list out all of the rescheduling and cancellation policies so you know your options! Know that we’ve put a lot of thought into the policies to make sure we’re being compassionate to both our couples while still being able keep our business afloat. It definitely hasn’t been an easy thing for any of us to navigate! Thanks in advance for understanding where we’re coming from as a business and why policies need to be set in place.

If your specific situation isn’t listed below, send us an email and we can find an option that works. Due to the amount of people considering or booking postponed dates, we ask that all communication happens via email to make sure no information shared gets lost or misinterpreted! These policies apply to any strand of COVID and any potential pandemic illness.

  • ORIGINAL PLAN: If your venue is open on your contracted wedding date and there are no government mandated Shelter In Place (or similar) orders, we’re still open to shooting your wedding! We’d just carry on as normal and abide by any capacity/event restrictions in place.

RESCHEDULING OPTION 1: Reschedule full day to new date.
RESCHEDULING OPTION 2: Split your day into two days. We’ll just allocate the hours between the two days as we see fit!

  • 2021 RESCHEDULE WITHIN OUR AVAILABILITY: If you fall within a Shelter in Place (or similar order), your venue is closed, or you have a compromised immune system, all rescheduling fees will be waived for 2021. Rescheduling priority going to couples with wedding dates within 60 days.

    • We’ll first try to reschedule you in the availability of the team member you were originally contracted with. If your contracted team member isn’t available and you are limited with your options with your venue, you will be paired with another team member.

    • If you want to split your day into two dates, there may be an additional fee. If you have a second shooter in your package, a second shooter will only attend one of the dates. Let us know which date you’d prefer to have the second shooter.

  • RESCHEDULING TO 2022: To ensure we can take care of all couples needing to reschedule, we’d prefer for 2021 rescheduling to happen if you are within 60 days of your original wedding date. The following adjustments and fees would be applicable:

    • Saturday date peak season (May through October): 30% non-refundable retainer of package price to save new date

    • Friday date peak season (May through October): 25% non-refundable retainer of package price to save new date

    • Any day of the week other than Friday/Saturday peak season (May-October) - no rescheduling fee

    • Any day of the week including Saturday January-April or November-December - no rescheduling fee

*If you pay your final balance on originally scheduled date (instead of 30 days prior your rescheduled date), we will credit you a free hour of coverage. You also have the choice to pay closer to your rescheduled date, you just wouldn’t get the extra hour.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • SOFT HOLDING FOR DATES: We totally understand and appreciate starting to plan for a backup date. Please limit to one date. I would communicate with you if another inquiry comes in for the date you are hoping for and you’ll have 24 hours to make a decision. After that 24 hours, I’ll be working on a first come first serve basis for official booking. Official booking is confirmed with a new contract signed with the new date.

  • CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULE OUTSIDE OF TEAM AVAILABILITY: If you choose to cancel or change your date and there is no team member available, any amount paid is non-refundable. If the event is cancelled within 6 months of the reserved date, the final balance is still due.
